Weekend Workshops :                                                                                                       
Weekend workshops are held twice a year in Spring and Autumn.
Our next weekend workshop is planned for Saturday and Sunday September 20th and 21st 2008.

If you are interested in starting an environmental network in your area we would be happy to give you advice or come and talk to your group - contact us for more details.

NEW PROJECT - The Environmental Network has the use of a Walled Garden for 2008 where we hope to help maintain the fruit trees within, harvest the fruit crop in Autumn and plant some root vegetables in this the Year Of The Potato.

First Day in Garden- First day of work in the walled garden was on Good Friday March 21st 2008 at 2pm. Potatoes were planted in Drills and with The Lazy Bed Method and tree pruning was started!Thanks everyone.
Second day in Garden- Second day of work in the walled garden was Tuesday April 8th 2008 at 7pm. Peas planted that time in the rain. Well done all!!!
Third day in garden- Third day of work in the walled garden was Tuesday April 15th 2008 at 6.30pm. 2 trees were saved as Ivy was stripped from them. The carrot and cabbage beds were prepared.Well done all!!!!! Hoping to meet again next week.
FOURTH DAY IN GARDEN- Fourth day of work in the walled garden will be Sunday May 11th 2008 at 3.00pm. Carrots to go in, weeding to be done and ivy to be stripped from trees. All help needed!!!!! Usual meeting place but text or email if you need a lift or don't know where to go.
NATIONAL CLEAN UP WEEK EVENT - TUESDAY APRIL 22ND 2008 - MEETING POINT AT ATHENRY TRAIN STATION AT 7PM. We plan to do a rubbish pick up in the town. Contact us for more information or see you there. All help welcome.
